John, seems great too. I wish I could remember what line of work, Todd
left Roadrunner behind for? Do you remember? It seem like it was
something like farming or running an orchard, or something in that
ballpark. (But, watch, I just know someone will email informing me he's
developed some new easy to use "spreadable death gell" or something like
that). :oYep, Oar Folkjokeopus had a fire and then came back as
Treehouse Records, with the same owner. I've never shopped there much
but it's a bit of a local used record store landmark. I've never
understood nor admittedly "researched" why he made the name change.>
I think you're right about Todd, but wouldn't have remembered that if
you hadn't mentioned it! Orchard sounds right.
The Oar Folk tale's kind of a confusing one. The owner was actually a
guy named Vern (verrrry absentee owner) and Mark Trehus decided to
change the name when he bought it. Sounds like his own last name and was
also the name of the label he used to do. Most folks already assumed
Mark had been the owner for years. Suppose Oar Folk's biggest claim to
fame is that it's where Peter Jesperson was working when Paul Westerberg
gave him the first Replacements demos.
Can't believe I forgot about Electric Fetus ...
