I will heartily agree with Greg on Watershed -- good
songs, great stage presence -- incredibly fun. I
enjoyed The Handcuffs, but my understanding is that
the current bass and guitar player are new to the
band, and I can definitely hear the band tightening up
more in the future. The material on the 'cuffs debut
is a bit more complex (though very poppy as usual),
and will benefit with more live polish. Of course,
Brad and Chloe were a gas to watch. They always are.
Finally -- I thought Pezband sounded great. Greg is
right about Mimi's vocals -- but after a few songs, he
sang pretty well. Wish he had the old high range.
Still, the band played so well. I was mixed on the
covers -- very well done, but so many?
The main thing I was wondering going into their set
was -- can they still rock? They answered that quite
emphatically.
