When I went to San Francisco in February, we almost went to see Wolfmother. We had originally wanted to attend some kind of show up there, while we were in town, so that was one that we were considering. We didn't get to see them, but then yesterday we went to Coachella and caught about half of their set there.

They sounded great, but we were so far away, we could barely see the band (they played in one of the tents and it was overflowing with people by the time we got there!) And yeah, as my girlfriend and her sister pointed out.. they sound like Zeppelin.

Overall, Coachella was a lot of fun.. We saw quite a few bands, and missed quite a few too unfortunately.. that's just the way it goes. The experience ended a bit badly when we lost her sister in the crowd and the phones weren't exactly working right... but it was a lot of fun as a whole. We got to see Rob Dickinson, The Like, Wolfmother, Hybrid f/ Perry Farrell, The Zutons, Deerhoof, Lyrics Born, Sigur Ros, Franz Ferdinand, Depeche Mode, and part of She Wants Revenge and Daft Punk. Things I would have liked to see were Clap Your Hands, Say Yeah, Devendra Barnhart, and a few others.. But the surprise of the day, I think my favorite act might have been Kanye West (gasp!)
