It's easy to wipe and yes, I think that's the right thing to do. It's very easy to rip from the IPOD back to a hard drive, even with Apple's intended safeguards. Any number of 3rd parties have developed software to this end. I've used this software (appropriately in my estimation) to make my music library available to ME at work. But if you leave your music on the IPOD and sell it to someone else, without wiping that music from your own collection & hard drive, you're really abetting piracy. Someone else can chime in with a counterpoint, though.

On the other hand if your 20Gb of RPP has all been downloaded for free from legitimate sites or the equivalent, then party on.
