There are so many Rick Johnson pieces that, like live/TV comedy, you'd have
to revisit to remember it exactly (like digging old Creem magazines out of
storage).
Johnson also wrote for the Prairie Sun, a free weekly alternative paper
distributed throughout the once-mighty Co-Op Records chain in Illinois/Iowa
during the 1970s/1980s.
Sample Johnson review of Cheap Trick's neo-metal/head-banging ONE ON ONE
album: Five paragraphs consisting of the word BAM, in all caps. Or for
Creem, opening his Journey review with "This album's got suck-o written all
over it."
An anthology of his work would be great.
