Great story, and clearly one that reflects the feelings of several folks here.
Knowing the Twangfest organizers, I'd guess that Beatle (as The Morells Lou Whitney referred to him) probably scammed his way in to the shows. He's pestered his way into every Twangfest as far as I know. Mr. Bob's certainly got a talent for scamming, if not dancing.
