hop on a plane and visit Vancouver this month!
With special guests like Paul Williams (at the double bill featuring
Phantom of the Paradise & his Muppet show episide) and Wreckless Eric
(playing live at the Railway Club as well) and film subjects runs the
gamut from Daniel Johnston, The Minutemen, Roky Erikson, Nina Simone,
Klaus Beyer (German man obsessed w/the Beales), a James Chance doc by
his brother, to rock flicks titled Privilege and Stunt Rock it's going
to be fun.
This is organized by Kier-la who has put together the local Cinemuerte
horror fest for years. This Vancouverite has been living in Austin for
some years now, programming shows at The Alamo. As much as I love the
gore, music is where my heart is and I hope she'll continue to keep this
series running.
Curses, no Beatle Bob...I kinda sorta have a crush on him.
