I was introduced to the Monkees phenomenon when they broadcast the reruns on channel 56 in fall of 75 to 76. Immediately smitten by Davy Jones, at one point had a crush on each one, but never Mickey, because not only was he my cousin Kim's fave, but also because I thought he looked like a real monkey. Was thrilled beyond belief in June of 76, when visiting the house of my mother's friend and her oldest daughter was moving out. I mentioned to her that I liked the Monkees ahd she handed me a pile of the records that she was just going to throw away. I was in HEAVEN and played those things to absolute death! Found a fan letter that she had written in 67 in the sleeve of Birds Bees and found out she was a Peter fan. Still a fan to this day!
