I just came across an old tape comp I have of Moody Blues songs, and
listening to it felt like seeing an old friend. I was never a big fan,
never owned one of their albums, just had the best of comp - but I was
surprised how much I enjoyed it after all these years.

Yeah, they can be pompous, and their lyrics are at times pretty hippy dippy.
And if I heard too much of that flute player, or those soliloquies, or
soliloquies by the flute player, I'd probably have to kill him. Nonetheless
- dynamic, romantic, music, with velvet guitars, tons o orchestration,
catchy melodies, a unique sound with personality. Pretty good in my book.

So, are there any M B fans out there on this list? What albums of theirs
would you recommend to someone who is more into pop songwriting than
instrumental twaddling?
