I do recall that on 'Gilligan' the Mosquitos (with square McGuinn-style square sunglasses, natch) put on a talent show, and had the men perform as a group and then the ladies.
The men were horrible, of course, but the women were so good that the Mosquitos left them stranded on the island due to their intense fear of competition.
"I need you, you need us, like a diamond, needs a ring" etc.
Mrs. Howell could shake that money-maker.
