Gee, Michael--you have just completely mischaracterized third stream. Not
one of your targets was correct. Third stream originally referred to jazz
composers like Charles Mingus and even Claude Bolling who fused classical
elements into their compositions. Keith Jarrett and Bill Evans are two of
the most influential pianists of the 20th century and the music of ECM
Records covers a wide variety of styles spanning nearly forty years.
If you're going to tell people what to think, it would be nice if you knew
what you were talking about.
