Hands down my single favorite live performance of any song by anybody.
It just oozes with power. The rumor was the Rolling Stones sat on the
original release for all those years was because they felt they were
upstaged by The Who. They were right (although looking at the Stones'
own performance, they was pretty darned good as well).

Heh--point taken. But it's not an album I'd listen to...well, ever.
It's
Alive! by The Ramones would be my live album of choice (or, for live
Who,
their performance of "A Quick One" on the Rolling Stones Rock 'n' Roll
Circus).
