It would depend upon my intent, really. If I wanted to show our Martian
friend what I thought was the big deal about The Who (as opposed to what others
thought), the only one of these later Who tracks I'd play would be "Won't Get
Fooled Again;" the tracks you cite may be more indicative of what The Who
wanted to be, but I prefer virtually everything on the Meaty Beaty Big & Bouncy
collection (for example), plus "A Quick One While He's Away," "The Good's
Gone," "Call Me Lightning," "La-La-La-Lies," "I Can't Reach You," etc. And I'd
play both "I Can't Explain" and "The Kids Are Alright" twice, just to make sure
the Martian digs 'em.
