Yeah, I really like the new Sparks, and I didn't mean to imply they sound
like queen. That one song is an obvious exception. Ralph Smith of Amnesia
played me the Half Nelson album when it came out (hmm, didn't rundgren
produce that?), but didn't really fall in love with them until I heard "This
Town" while sitting in a london pub in 1974. Kimono and Propaganda are still
my two faves, even though I've liked a lot of their stuff over the years.

Cheers,
Gary

I don't think Stewart was knocking all reunions -- he is justifiably cynical
and dismissive of the New Cars.
These guys can do what they want, which comes off to me as craven and
insincere, and some folks will show up and many more will treat The New Cars
like Basic Instinct 2.

Gary L. -- "Dick Around" is a great song, and Hello Young Lovers may even
top the great Lil' Beethoven.
While Queen-ish is a good description, Sparks was an influence on Queen back
in the day, not the other way 'round.
