I don't see how you can say that. The name is as close to what it was 
without being exactly the same, the key band members are missing and they're 
doing Cars hits and new songs that mimic the Cars' sound, cadence and vocal 
style.I would bet the only reason the word "new" is in there at all is 
because of Ocasek and lawyers.

I don't think anyone is really getting their bowels in an uproar over 
it...as many have said, go or don't go, listen or don't listen. And the fact 
that Todd is apparently admitting he's in it for the paycheck is both honest 
and unsurprising. But it's also a little disappointing. I even admit that if 
he went out with the same guys as "Todd Rundgren" or "Utopia" and promised 
to play cover tunes from a bunch of bands, I'd probably enjoy the show. I 
think it was the merch page with the New Cars logo that finally made me 
swing (to the right).
