very astute, Andrew... same probably applies to the Beatles...i believe
Hendrix surfacing in England in 66/67 had something to do with this as the
likes of Townshend, McCartney (not Davies i would think) were deeply
influenced...although I find it fascinating to think of any Who, Kinks or
Beatles material as inferior when you consider the massive impact these
bands have had on modern rock & pop music. I mean, I'm the guy who loves Who
Are You, Don't Let Go the Coat, White Album, Better Things, Come Dancing,
Low Budget... etc etc...like I said - fascinating.
