There's L.A. indie band Fonda (rhymes with Honda).
There's the Christian death metal band from Australia called Horde (rhymes with Ford). Or you could use Anita Ward, the one-hit disco siren who struck platinum with "Ring My Bell". Not to mention the '60s soul group Chairmen Of The Board who recorded on Holland-Dozier-Holland's Invictus label after that trio had left Motown, and who had a hit with "Give Me Just A Little More Time". I suppose Lita Ford doesn't count.
And there's the old middleweight AOR band Dakota from the '80s and '90s that used to open up for Queen in the States but was better known in their first incarnation as The Buoys of "Timothy" fame (rhymes with Toyota). This particular automobile manufacturer is also useful in baseball bar quizzes (Q: "Name two/three/four players past or present with more than five years' major-league experience whose names rhyme with 'Toyota'" A: "Manny Mota, Guillermo Mota, Humberto Cota, and/or Bill Pecota"). I once won a free Old Style with that one.
I don't think I'd be driven to the brink of suicide unless I had to find something that rhymed with Citroen or Hyundai.
