Hey guys:
I have some questions about the various Cheap Trick reissues. I know the
first three were remastered/reissued, and then the next two were just
reissued (not remastered?) recently. Does anyone know if plans to
reissue the rest of the albums were scrapped, or are they still being
considered? "One on One" and "Next Position Please" have both been
reissued via iTunes, but it seems there's no hard copy available.
Similarly, "Standing On The Edge" and "The Doctor" are out of print and
very rare, but it seems there's relatively recent japanese reissues of
these. Do they have any bonus tracks/remastering? Similarly, is the
track listing of the new, "Authorized" version of "Next Position Please"
the same as on the Japanese import version, or no?
I didn't realize how rare Cheap Trick's mid-period records were
(basically everything after "Dream Police" and before "Lap of Luxury").
I've been thinking about picking some of the proper albums up, but I
want to buy the best (although reasonably-priced) versions I can. --J
