My uneducated guess on the new CT reissues of 'Dream
Police' and 'All Shook Up' is that they were probably
done around the same time as 'Heaven Tonight', 'In
Color' and the first album in '98 and they just
haven't been updated since.
Note that 'HT' only says it was remastered on the
jewel case sticker and was not indicated in the actual
booklet - general mastering info (Vic Anesini, BTW) is
listed under 'Reissue credits.' Same goes for the 'Sex
America Cheap Trick' box set from '96.
Considering all that as a possibility, these new
versions of 'DP' and 'ASU' would still have to sound
better than the original CD pressings done waaay back
before that.
