I generally agree about transfers done on modern gear. The problem is
when someone decides to muck with the EQ to make it sound modern. I find
some remasters a tad thin or bright.

I also hate remixing as a rule. Too many albums don't sound right
anymore. We don't need longer fades, and such. If people want to remix,
I think they owe it to the listeners to first include the original mix.
My Generation is a good example.

On the other hand, I can't really hear the changes done to the Byrds
remix/remasters. Some folks don't like 'em, but I'm ok with them.

The Beatles will be remastered in the UK. I do not want modern stereo
remixes like that Yellow Sub from a while back. I want my Beatle mono
and stereo originals. Correct single mixes and mono-stereo options on
the albums.

The bonus trax on the CT reissues weren't much to get me to spring for
this one again. Couldn't care less about the other two...got 'em on
vinyl, and I don't ever listen to them anyway.. except for Dancin' The
Night Away! Killer Kover
