I just got the remastered (and expanded) versions of Mott the Hoople's "All
the Young Dudes" and "Mott".
Both sound great and have some nice bounus tracks (a couple of fav's are
"All the Young Dudes" with a Bowie lead vocal on the verses, and a faster
demo version of "Momma's Little Jewel").
But I just read yesterday that there is an remastered (and expanded) version
of "The Hoople" that is only available for download ....I was really hoping
to get a 'real' version of this....and hoping the superior version of "Roll
Away the Stone" with Mick Ralphs on guitar would be included. Ariel Bender
was no substitute for Mick in my opinion.

I don't believe that they're remastered. I was just talking about this the
other day with a guy in the office and he didn't think the sell sheet said
anything about them being remastered. There are a few nice bonus tracks on
each, included the "Found All the Parts" EP which makes it's CD debut.
To make matters worse, they've released Next Position Please as a
download-only title (I believe on iTunes).
