Hey there, friends:
After laying low for most of 2005, the newly reconfigured Milkshake Jones makes its triumphant return to live gigging this weekend.
We're playing The Historic Blue Star in Lancaster, Pa., this Saturday (3/11) with our good friends The Jellybricks and Boston's Bourbon Princess. Showtime is 10 p.m.
So come early, and stay late for a great night of pop music. It'd be great to see some familiar faces in the crowd.

We'll be debuting our new lineup at this show, which features Marlin Bressi of Harrisburg ska-rockers Fink's Constant on bass and Todd Reid from York, via Seattle and North Carolina on drums. After a lot of thought, Marni has decided to go on extended hiatus from the band. Taking care of our daughter and playing some wicked bass just proved to be a little too much. But we're holding out hope that she may eventually return to the lineup. I know I am.
You can send her good vibes at info@milkshakejones.com.

If you miss us Saturday (and really, why would you?), don't worry. We're planning a full slate of gigs for 2006 that will include our return to downtown Harrisburg and repeat engagements at the Dewey Beach PopFest, The Millennium Music Festival and the International Pop Overthrow. Even better, we're just about done with our second CD with Michael Giblin of the Parallax Project, and hope to have it out in time for some essential beachfront listening.

You can keep up with us through our Web page, http://www.milkshakejones.com and through our page on MySpace.com, http://www.myspace.com/milkshakejones. There's a 'blog up there chronicling our recording sessions, and that's where we'll be posting some of the new tunes as we finish 'em. So check in often.

See you on Saturday,
John, Mark, Marlin and Todd
Milkshake Jones
