Ditto, ditto, ditto. I was going to write an email later, but Steve,
you did it right. I keep getting distracted from real work with his
discoveries. So yes, curse you Absolute Powerpop.

Actually, that should read Kudos Absolute Powerpop!!! (Curses because I
can't afford all the great releases you keep featuring.)

If you haven't visited Steve's site yet, it is hands down the best
friend to today's indie power pop fan. If you remember logging onto
"Shake it Up" or Alan Haber's "Pure Pop" site, looking for new updates,
Absolute Powerpop will slay you. It is updated *daily*, and sometimes
several times a day. The exception was when Steve felt the need to go
on a two day family vacation. Slacker!

In Audities not so distant past, there were lamentations on the lack of
posts touting new power pop bands. Absolute Powerpop fills that void
big time, albeit in the form of a one-man show. There are links to
allow you to sample the recommendations, as well as to purchase.

Listen. I don't personally know Steve. (Although he obviously has a
very trustworthy first name;-) I just think that when someone goes to
the time and personal expense to create something this cool for us, we
owe it to him to check out his labour of love. Then when you find
something that knocks you for a loop and presses all the right woo-hoo
buttons, high-tail it over to Not Lame (or Jam, or Kool Kat, or
CDBaby) and lay some money down so these artists can have the chance to
put out their incredible follow-up release.

Thats all.

(a different) Steve
