Hey guys, a few people have mentioned this album but I wanted to give an
official plug!
The debut 11 track album from new Popboomerang band Magneto called
"Resistance is Futile" is finally released & ready for sale. Magneto popped
up a few years ago with appearances on Lost Weekend Compilation & various
Popboomerang compilations before the founding members John Baxter & Paul
Inglis (ex Alcotomic) decided to concentrate on their band "Prettymess"
Not content with 1 band, John & Paul recruited Michael Snowball
(Groundswell) & Jeff Barnes (P76) and now we have Magneto! This album will
appeal to lovers of aussie guitar power pop such as Stems, Danny McDonald
and Even. The band are also influenced by Cheap Trick, Redd Kross & early
Oasis.
