Hi Mike,
I'll handle The Flamin' Oh's for you (Old Mpls band that I
recommended people check out). I say "old" but I understand they are
back at it again and have released a new disc. I went by memory and
listened to songs that I remembered from seeing them so many times,
so long ago.
In order: "I remember romance", "Smart Girl", "Start". These seem to
be the best. I could be missing a song or two. Many of their songs
are not as good as these (IMHO).
We always hated the song "I'm A Medical Mess". Kind of an attempt at
a goofy number, I guess. It reminds me of like how much years later
we HATED Trip Shakespeare's rave-up song "Tool Master from Brainerd"
when seeing them live. You know the time to get a beer because I just
don't get it. But, I digress…
Anyway, and sadly, the keyboard player and lead singer on "I'm a
Medical Mess" and a handful of other songs, was murdered 10-15 years
ago.
