Hey Gang,

I just cancelled Esquire (with great, overdue joy) and Mental Floss
(somewhat reluctantly) and I'm really hoping to find a nice
indie-focused music mag to replace them. Any suggestions? I know lots of
mags are mentioned here, so if anyone has compiled a list, that would be
great. Otherwise, I figure that in a small handfull of short posts, I'll
have plenty to look into. Off-list responses welcome also! I read Paste
Magazine cover to cover, and I haven't gotten Rolling Stone or Spin in
(I'm sure it's been) much more than a decade. I'll be 47 on 2/8/06. I'm
most definitely a "populist" power-pop lover (with a sometimes
alt.country or pop singer-songwriter leaning), e.g. I think all but one
of my personal top ten for 2005 will make this years *Group* top 15 or
so. Never enough hand claps, huge hooks, ringing geetars and la-la-la's
for me ... :-)

Thanks in advance for your help everybody!

cheap tambourine and sang along at the top of his little lungs to all
the Monkees records)
