Subject: THE MOCKERS LOVE MONKEYS
Yes, in spite of our complete absence lo these many months, a few
things have actually been a-happening here in Mocksville. Chalk the
silence up to the lack of initiative that my parents so rightly warned
me about....anyway...here's the Cliffs Notes version:
1. We recently finished recording a version of "God Only Knows" sung
by our world renowned drummer, Nelson Bragg. We played the song on our
last Spanish tour, and it went over so well, we decided to record it.
Unbiased (as well as biased) observers say it came out rather well.
I've yet to hear Brian's opinion on the matter.
2. Said cover version will appear shortly (we're looking at sometime
this spring) on the Japanese release of ELECTRIC CAMPFIRE on the
legendary label Wizzard In Vinyl. It's actually going to be a 2 CD
release--the second cd also chock full o' demos, live tracks, assorted
outtakes and videos to play on your computer. We'll let you know.
And now, to explain the subject of this email (and also the impetus
for getting off my butt to send out a Mockers update):
If you're anywhere near a television tomorrow night (that's Tuesday,
January 24th) at 10 pm (9 Central, natch), be sure to turn yer' dial to
CBS's new show LOVE MONKEY--because if you listen closely, you may just
hear our big hit number "Mola, Guay, OK". It has yet to be determined
how closely and how quickly you will have to listen--but I have been
advised that it will certainly be there!
By the way, it's a good show too.
