Hi,

I'd put in a vote for:

Night Ranger - had some great melodies in their hard rock, and even sounded at times like a Power-Pop band just masqerading, trying to fit in with the times.

Love And Rockets - on thier "Earth Sun Moon" album, sound like they have a Power-Pop band fighting to get out of them.

Arthur Alexander - He's usually classified as Soul, but I'd have to rank him right beside Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, the Everly Brothers, Little Richard, and all of the Motown bands as a big influence on the Beatles, who to me are basically the original Power-Pop band. Arthur had some good Beatlesque melodies in his songs, before the Beatles even had recorded yet.

  Take care,

  Live it.......... Large
