This is an odd, disjointed selection. Can't call it my "top" ten, I've only
listened to about 20 or so releases from 2005. So let's just say these are
better than the other 10 or so that I listened to.
1. Eisley - Room Noises
2. Fountains of Wayne - Out Of State Plates
3. The Decemberists - Picaresque
4. The Supahip - Sieze the World
5. Bowling For Soup - Goes To The Movies
6. Aimee Mann - The Forgotten Arm
7. Brendan Benson - Alternative To Love
8. Sonata Form - Harmony, Courage, Joy And I.Q.
9. Brian Wilson - what I Really Want For Christmas
10. Paul McCartney - Chaos And Creation in the Backyard
Honorable mention: Kaiser Chiefs - Employment
A slim list, I know. Some of these don't qualify, but I don't care. Others
are probably on my list and mine alone. Well, most of my purchases in 05
were CD versions of LPs I own from the 60s-70s - maybe in 06 I'll buy more
new stuff.
