Me:
Michael has already done a better job at defending me (twice) than I could
do myself, but I want to say that my intention wasn't to be a "dick" since I
had no reason to think that the writer of the review was ever going to read
my comments. Having said that, I will admit that I could have written
something softer like "It's a pet peeve of mine when writers misuse
words..."
