No, your right and I recognize that too, despite my linking those
two things. I never got into this more known artist (BF5) per I think
I could never appreciate his musicical style per the "smart ass, look
at me, I'm so clever" (IMH0) elements got in the way for me. That
said, I have only heard two of his discs and may not have started at
the right places (as you've suggested given the up and downs of his
output).

Sort of related to the other post going on and subjectivity of our
ears. I always found Husker Du to be more direct and accessable then
Mould's solo work. His solo output struck me as "feeling" a bit to
self important or self-indulgent somehow. Much more one dimentional
then Huskers buzz of sound. But, I' assume most wouldn't agree me on
this..
