I would love to see that too. Heck, I'd love to see highlights of
Joe Morgan's being beaned over his career (well, no, not
reeeeeally). But, for my money, he's the worst baseball announcer
around (I know, "who cares" but for better or worse, it leads me to a
tangent.
I have a friend who for a few years did odds and ends jobs for
ESPN when ESPN was in Minnesota to cover a game. Once he drove Joe
Morgan from the airport to the stadium. Reportedly, Joe was annoyed
about something. He complained and whinned about this and that the
entire car ride. My friend says as they crossed a bridge over the
river he had to resist the stong urge to pull over, park the car,
walk out and toss the keys into the river. And then just walk away
leaving Joe to sit in the car dumfounded. That would have made him
more then a friend to me but also a hero.
No offense Big Red Machine fans.
