Cousteau reminds me of a cross between the Tindersticks and Portishead. Kind of an orchestral trip hop sound with a Scott Walker influence. Since you like Scott Walker you might like them as well.
 I  quite like what I have heard by them. I know they have at least one full lenght US release available.
