I stand, uh, corrected, I guess.
That album also had another great track on it, now that I think of it, called 'Blue Light'.
In the 80's Gilmour played live with Townshend's band, and they would perform both BL and 'Air' live. (See Pete Townshend's 'Deep End' CD and Video)
Speaking of Blue Light, the beginning sounds very similar to Townshend's 'Give Blood' (Gilmour on guitar on both) the lead track on 'White City' which PT was promoting at the time of the Deep End concerts, blah, blah, blah, blah.
