I heard about four years ago
(from a long-time employee at the downtown NYC outlet)
that Tower has long been in receivership to Citibank, I think it was/is,
and that as soon as the debt(s) are settled,
the remaining flagship stores will forever close.

Could anyone herein possibly confirm/deny this
(coz my above-mentioned pal has now secured employment elsewhere),
