Well, I'm not couching for the entire comedic oeuvre of Fridays, but that 
one bit was wicked funny.

Varying mileage--I remember thinking that Fridays was painfully unfunny, but
they did indeed have cool musical acts.   I missed most of The Clash's
appearance, but I recall The Jam singing "Private Hell" and KISS doing "The 
Oath" (a
somewhat strained version, actually, but it was enough to hook me on the
song).
