It occured to me that my film critic example might be a bad one. Per
probably, most would agree that Shalit is not as critical in his film
assessments as most other reviewers. That is unlike the differences of
tastes on this list, which has many diverse but knowledgeable lovers of
music. This distinction might not mean a thing to any of you and I'm
sorry to come back to it...but I didn't want to imply that one school
of thought (mine) is "better" then another. Probably many of you "know"
me well enough to know that wasn't my intent but just to be clear..
To state the obvious...Some may list an artist "sounds like Jellyfish"
and this will mean a lot to many, it isn't my starting place but it's
just a valid.
