We are freaks - I've always known that! I must say that the pursuit of
excellent new music gets harder all the time. I'm nearing 50, with a family,
day job etc... and I just don't have the time I used to have to devote to
this stuff. I should probably just quit searching and devote myself to
listening to my existing library but I can't bring myself to do that.
Somewhere the next Beatles (or Kraftwerk or whatever) are waiting to happen.
I still write and record my own music but it's almost pointless. The market
for what we love almost doesn't exist anymore. Is it because of so few
decent record stores? I don't really think so. I just think the world has
changed so much in the last 15 years with competing video games, Tivo or
whatever else.
I'm not bitching at all - that's just the way it is.
