Many will smirk in a sly knowing manner who know me well, but there is not a
six month period in my life that I do not listen to both fo the first
two(and only) Rex albums.
Long, long overdue on CD, there must be a reason they have not made it out,
I would assume. I always had it on a short list for NL, but never could
find anyone at Sony/Columbia when I called that would take me seriously a
few years back(on this and list of many other releases). Wonder if the
leadership in reissues has changed there(anyone know? Let meknow, if
so...). Unreleased trax would be a joy to find or even live ones, which I'm
sure exist. But most paranthetical Sony catalog material is straight
reissue by policy is my understanding......
Now, Sooner or Later? ;-) well, sucker that I am/was, I bought he first
two Rex Smith solo albums hoping for a gem or two. As I recall, there was
ONE song on one of those albums that was a keeper, but it pure Teen Beat
Schmaltz.
Peace,
Bruce
