Here's one that I haven't seen mentioned that I'm sure
Auditeers will love:
The Pictures

GREAT band from New Zealand - it's got shades of Billy
Joel-esque 70s piano pop on some songs and shades of
Brian Wilson-esque harmonies on others, but it's done
with lots of energy and attitude a la the Rolling
Stones or some of the modern indie-garage set. If you
like Neon, you'll probably love this one! The only
reason I can imagine I haven't seen any posts about it
on this list is the rather hefty import price tag on
it at Virgin in the US - I guess that'll teach me to
put on the listening booth headphones in the import
section! Definitely in my top 10 for this year.
