I'm almost certain it was Rex that played Tampa in the mid-seventies quite
often as lead singer of a band called Trix. I remember seeing them twice at
a dive somewhere on Nebraska avenue. Were actually pretty good. Played some
ziggy bowie covers (suffragette city for sure) and a few originals.
Come to think of it, I saw Tom Petty at the same dive before his first album
came out on shelter records.
Cheers, Gary

Big Rex is now a realtor out here in Orange County, CA. He advertises his
business in a local paper with the following catchy tagline:
"Rex Smith - Results That Will Take Your Breath Away"
I don't make this stuff up, friends...
John B.
np: "Young, Gifted and Black" - Aretha Franklin
