hmmmmm....i remember seeing Kiss, at the same Spectrum venue in 
Philadelphia, on the Love Gun tour I think, maybe Rock and Rollover for 
that matter.....the Rockets, from Detriot opened, and to this day I 
remeber almost NOTHING about the show.....

except for buying a t-shirt outside, waiting for my parents to pick me 
up, and having a cop on horseback take the shirt from me, as it was 
apparently a botleg shirt!!

ahhh, the injustice of it all....

and of course, KISS really needed the money  at that poinnt!!!!

    I have a friend whose first-ever concert experience was seeing KISS 
at the
Spectrum when he was 12 (this would be around 1976).  He tells me that 
the
spectacle was unreal - you know the whole KISS experience.  So... when 
he
attended his next concert (The Outlaws, or some such southern-fried 
band), the
band was onstage in denim and flannel and he kept waiting for the 
"show" part.
He jokes to this day that seeing KISS first spoiled him for every 
concert since,
LOL.
