1976-Deep Purple (Tommy Bolin, David Coverdale, Glenn Hughes edition-Mark
Whatever) w/Nazareth opening.
I was 18 years old and I still left. Absolute loudest concert I had ever
attended. Coverdale had a tendency to hit shrieking high notes. Walked out
halfway through DP.
Finally did see their show to completion two years ago. Machine Head tour.
Can't say I trace my tinnitus to that show. It's moderate to loud in my left
ear. Light to moderate in my right. In my "record store employee" heyday I
used to attend 20-25 shows a year.
