I saw the Flamin Groovies at the Keystone PA too. My brother was doing the sound, which nearly got him arrested when the cops came in due to noise complaints.

Loudest gig I saw would have been Hawkwind at Zellerbach, in Berkeley. That was in 1974, the 1999 Party with Man.

Neil Young's second set  of the Greendale show was about twice as loud as the first. Since it was at Red Rock, it wasn't painful. Actually really fun to watch all the yuppies freak out
