Some forms of tinnitus are treatable with the elimination of caffeine and/or 
aspirin product consumption. My ex-wife suffered for years until she stopped 
drinking coffee. No one knows why there's a correlation but some doctors 
suspect it has to do with blood flow to the auditory centres and the 
constriction (or not) of blood vessels from these stimulants.
