Any thoughts on where to start? Is a compellation ("Substance" or the
new "Singles") good enough? Or would I be better off leaving well enoguh alone? >>

New Order are one of my favorite bands, so I think they're well worth revisiting. I would recommend the brand spankin' new, comprehensive, 2CD Singles compilation (released tomorrow) over everything else--it bundles the best of their later period material along with all of their most accessible and essential songs. They're really better heard as a singles band than as an albums band, so I would absolutely start there. There are tons of classic pop songs on there; it's totally worth $20. --Jason
