I don't recall reading anything particularly (ron) nasty in there about that,

(Phil Spector? That's another kettle of kelp altogether though!)
but I do remember reading about John going out of his way to placate a young
Beatlemaniac sometime in the NYC mid-Seventies, to the point of even sitting
thru a screening of the Shea Stadium film on someone's (May's??) bedroom wall
(.....this was in Mike McGear McCartney's GREAT Beatlebook,
and Derek Taylor was somehow involved as well, if memory serves).
Strictly personally speaking then,
I can handle my idols having off days;
they are, after all, only human,
