I have a real question: who really cares about the RnRHOF? I don't just mean people on Audities.

Besides the people that created it and sustain it, does anybody really give it a passing thought except when these yearly announcements and inductions happen?

I don't recall myself or anyone else calling the Sex Pistols sell outs. The HOF is what it is, and it's not going anywhere. If Yawn Wenner wants to throw a party that validates the existence of his now-vapid magazine, who cares?

The thread started to veer towards the Pistols and whether they were important or not, and I was trying to reinforce the fact that, like other important and influencial acts, luck and timing went hand in hand with their talent.

There's nothing they can do to ruin their credibility. If Elvis circa 1976 couldn't destroy his 50's credibility, I think the Pistols are pretty safe from here on in.
