Even nominating the Pistols shows how much the committe DIDN'T get what the
Pistols were all about. Unlike The Clash, who were actually trying to be a
card-carrying rock band, The Sex Pistols' existance was predicated on
killing the "establishment" -- not on making music or winning a Grammy
Award. And how much more 'establishment' can you get than a bunch of
corporate wags deciding what's cool and what's not....and giving out
trophies to underscore these decisions?

As someone else mentioned, John Lydon is surely going to burst a blood
vessel over this one.
