All of this is based on the idea that Lydon actually believed in the 
Pistols' image, and all indications are that if he ever did, he 
certainly doesn't now.  This *is* the man who spent a season on the UK 
Survivor ripoff "I'm A Celebrity, Get me Out Of Here."

The Sex Pistols were never revolutionaries, never anarchists, never 
anything more than a pretty good noisy pop band who hit upon a smart 
gimmick.  Or am I the only one here who's seen THE FILTH AND THE FURY?
